Salisbury Township School District was recently honored by The National School Boards Association (NSBA) and The Center for Digital Education as a top digital school district in a national survey. Schools from across the country were invited to complete the 10th Annual Digital School Districts Survey. The survey recognizes exemplary school boards’ and districts’ use of technology to govern their district, communicate with students, parents and community and improve the learning environment and district operations.
Salisbury placed 2nd in the Small Student Population (<3000) category. Salisbury is in it’s 4th year of 1:1 laptop/iPad implementation K-12 (TL2020). Every student, teacher and administrator has access to a digital device – iPad mini in Grades K-1; MacBook Pro in Grades 2-12. Students in Grades 6-12 have the opportunity to use the laptop computer for learning both inside and outside of school. To see the full list of recognized schools, visit this site.
Dr. Randy Ziegenfuss, Superintendent of Schools, said, “To be recognized as a Top Digital School District by The National School Boards Association and The Center for Digital Education is yet another indication of the dedication of our board members, teachers, administrators and parents to provide the most meaningful technology-rich learning opportunities for our students.” To learn more about Salisbury’s teaching and learning initiative, visit the TL2020.org website.
